At St Catharine’s College, school is proud to honour the legacy of the late Maurice and Natalie Benavitch through up to five exclusive scholarships – each valued at up to an incredible £15,000. These scholarships are designed to empower the next generation of visionary leaders in management, business, and finance.

Thanks to a generous bequest from the late Maurice and Natalie Benavitch, St Catharine's is able to offer annual scholarships for MBA, MFin and EMBA and PhD students in Management Studies. The Benavitch Fund also allocates up to £5,000 per year to provide Travel and Research grants towards costs associated with research activities by Management Studies students.

Benavitch Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Are you ready to stand out? To qualify for this exceptional opportunity, you must:

  • Hold a first-class degree or equivalent (GPA 3.7/4 or higher) from a recognised university.
  • 3 years' full-time post-graduation work experience (MBA and EMBA only).
  • Minimum GMAT score of 700 (MBA only)

Admission Essay

  • You must complete the careers objectives statement and 3, shorter essays:
  • Please provide details of your post-MBA career plans. The statement should not exceed 500 words and must address the following:
      • What are your short and long-term career objectives? How will the Cambridge MBA equip you to achieve these?
      • Looking at your short-term career goal, describe the research you have done to understand how this industry/role/location recruits MBA talent and what they are looking for in a candidate?
      • How confident do you feel about meeting your short-term career goal? What skills/characteristics do you already have that will help you to achieve them, and what preparation are you doing now?

  • Three Essays
    • Tell school about a time when you made a professional mistake. How could it have ended differently? (up to 200 words)
    • Tell school about the best team you worked with. What made the team successful? (up to 200 words)
    • Provide an example of when someone else positively impacted your life. What did you learn from this experience? (up to 200 words)
