An MBBS Degree
MD in USA for international students requires a bachelor's degree, for Indian students being the MBBS degree. The requirements also include submission of all academic transcripts from the high school, as well as bachelors degree program.
Entrance Exam
In order to start with MD in USA, international students are also required to give the MCAT or USMLE entrance exams. The MCAT exam has 4 sections, and the USMLE exam is preferred by students willing to take residency in the US. The average MCAT score usually stands at 511.
English Proficiency Test Scores
In order to be eligible for studying at US universities, international students are also required to submit their English proficiency test scores in the form of IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE. The IELTS score usually ranges from 6.5-7.0.

Apart from the above mentioned requirements, the MD course in USA also requires additional requirements such as LORs, SOPs, and work experience.
What is Residency?
Residency is a 3 to 11 years program wherein fresh graduates in the medicine field are trained under esteemed doctors, so as to start their practice in the USA. International students are usually given access to residency only after they clear the USMLE part 1 and 2.
When the residency is over, applicants have to pass the USMLE part 3 exam, in order to be eligible to earn board certification and thereby a get hold of a state licence to practice medicine in the US.
